A note from Tommy
For such a simple activity, it’s amazing how much of a profound impact running’s had on me. It’s helped ground me in tough times, level my head when I’m stressed, and taken me to the most beautiful places in the world.
But for a practice that has so much value to offer the individual, sometimes I find we put too much focus on the wrong things. We get caught up chasing certain times, validation from other runners, and we train in ways that lead to injury, sometimes having to stop running altogether.
This is a space that puts longevity, community, and the long-lasting benefits of running and nature at the forefront.
You are more capable than you might think – you’re capable of building your own training plan, surpassing goals you thought only others could reach, having a better relationship with your body, finding joy in the process, and keeping running in your life for a long time.
I started That’s Runnable to help others see running as more than just chip times and carbon shoes. A space where you can unashamedly embrace the reasons you run, and feel empowered and educated to train yourself in the right way.
That’s Runnable is still in it’s early stages so I appreciate you for supporting so far.
