Have fun, I dare you.

The 52nd Edition

It’s easy to forget the whole point…

Fun isn’t a luxury in running, it’s the point.

When was the last time you ran an event just to have fun, and honestly didn’t care for the result?

Fun isn’t just a nice bonus in sport, it might be the foundation of long-term success. This piece breaks down why enjoyment is essential for performance, motivation, and mental health, especially in younger or developing athletes. Expect to reflect on how pressure and results-driven mindsets can kill the very thing that makes sport sustainable.

This week’s track of the week is…

By the way, if you didn’t know, I put all these tracks in a Spotify playlist…

This weekend at ENDURE24, I was reminded of something simple but easy to forget: running is supposed to be fun.

Yes, it can be structured, goal-oriented, and sometimes serious, but if it’s never joyful, what’s the point?

Between the lack of sleep, sore legs, and laughter with friends, I remembered why I started this in the first place.

When we strip away the ego and expectation, we can fall back in love with the act itself.

I’m straight back up to the Peaks this week for more filming for a project I really care about.

And all of it – the filming, the racing, the long days – is only worth it if there’s joy stitched into the effort.

This weekend reminded me to loosen the grip, laugh more, and run for the hell of it.

That’s what I want to build everything else on. Because if it isn’t fun, what’s the point?

Thanks again for reading and subscribing.

Run the runnable, and keep showing up for yourself!
